One Direction are nominated for “Best British Group” in this years Brit Awards, up against acts such as Alt-J, Mumford & Sons, Muse and The XX.
1D stick out of that lot like a sore thumb – being the only pop boyband.
Last year, they won a Brit for their first single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, which seemingly catapulted them onto a kickass year.
The voting seems to be a bit odd, as it looks like you can vote for one category each day, or something like that.
At the moment you can only vote for British Breakthrough Act, and that only.
Keep checking it each day though, and as soon as voting opens for 1D’s category make sure you act quickly. We need to make sure that our boys win!
The awards will be held on Wednesday 20th February and shown live on ITV from 8pm onwards, and One Direction will be performing live on stage.
Guess who else will be performing live? Only Taylor Swift – ooh how interesting!
