One Direction have hit Belfast, and they’re really tightening the rains on their security.

As well as the boys requesting for military security at some gigs, their fans will also not be allowed to take in some specific items.

The girl population of Northern Ireland is in hysteria as the boys hit the Odyssey Arena for the first of their four gigs in the area.

But, the boys are a little worried about their fans getting a bit too excited, that they have banned glow sticks from the arena.

Not only that, but they have also requested that umbrellas and plastic bottles are not allowed in either.

Yep, we’re not joking.

Promoters said that due to “security restrictions” bags will be searched and glow sticks, plastic bottles and umbrellas will be removed.

“You will be asked to leave such items at the door,” a spokesman said.

This all comes after Harry was hit with a shoe at a gig.

Well, can’t blame him really can you?

Fans are also not allowed the usual, recording equipment, professional cameras and glass items.:(
