Earlier this week, the most exciting news was announced – One Direction’s brand new album will be called ‘Four’!

And here it is:

So, we know what it’s called, what it looks like and when it’s released (17th November 2014).

But, what else do we know about One Direction’s upcoming album?

Of course, there was plenty of rumours surrounding their fourth album before this week and now we can see which ones are true and which definitely aren’t.

One thing’s for sure, the boys have definitely gone for a new sound with their fourth album. As you will already know, they’ve released the first track from the album which is called ‘Fireproof’ and was available as a free download for 24 hours.

The track is one of our favourite One Direction songs yet, and definitely has a more mature, chilled-out vibe compared to some of their older stuff.

We can expect this to be the general trend throughout the album, infused with a bit of rock influences from the likes of The 1975, and some rapping too, from Naughty Boy.

We previously heard that the track with Naughty Boy, which sees Zayn Malik showcasing his rapping skills, could possibly be One Direction’s next single!

As well as The 1975 and Naughty Boy, One Direction have been going off and writing with a variety of artists such as McFly, Kodaline, John Legend and Pharrell Williams to come up with some of their best music yet.

The boys have always had a massive involvement in their music, but ‘Four’ is set to be their “most personal album yet”, and their songwriting has really come from the heart.

Liam promised that we’d be in for a “shock” with their next album, and that certainly sounds like it’s going to be true!
