It feels like we waited FOREVER to finally see the full video for One Direction’s brand new single ‘Steal My Girl’, and now it seems like we might not see it again.

We heard yesterday that the video officially broke the 24 hour Vevo record, as the news was announced on Twitter by Harry Styles.

However, we don’t yet know exactly how many views the video racked up and that’s because Vevo are struggling to count them.

Apparently, this means that they want to take the video down so that they can control the amount of views it gets to make it easier to count.

Rumour has it though, that they actually want to take it down after One Direction were slammed for using captive chimpanzees in the video, and accused of animal cruelty.

Of course, this has sparked OUTRAGE in One Direction world and Directioners have kicked up a fuss by protesting on Twitter with the top worldwide trend #DontDeleteStealMyGirl.

Some people are claiming that Vevo have already taken the video down, but some fans in the UK can still access it.

What do you guys think about the whole situation?
