That lucky lad Louis Tomlinson has made one of the biggest buys of his young life.
That’s because Louis is now the new co-owner of his beloved Doncaster Rovers, the British football club he’s also played for!
It was announced on Friday that Louis bought the Rovers team, which plays in League One, along with its former chairman John Ryan.
No details of the deal have been leaked yet. League One is two levels below the top-level English Premiere League.
The purchase puts our Lucky Louie in a league with other musical superstar sports owners like Elton John.

“Although I’m young,” Louis said, on the Rovers’ website, “I am very ambitious, and I really want this club to succeed.”
Immediately Louis launched a crowdfunding campaign for his hometown football club, where he played on its reserve team this season. He’s asked Rovers fans to help pledge £2million ($3.4 million) to help fund their high ambitions for the team.

According to sources, it’s the largest crowdfunding campaign ever launched in the UK.
“Me and John have talked a lot about the football club,” Louis said. “He’s a very successful business man. We have a good relationship and I think it will be a great partnership.”
“For me,” Louis said, “this is all about the football, the community and restoring the excitement and desire to making Doncaster Rovers the most exciting club to play for in Yorkshire…I want to see the Doncaster Rovers supporters get the club the success it deserves…
“I grew up in Doncaster,” added Louis, “and have felt the love for football run through the town, it’s for that reason that I have a real personal passion to make Doncaster Rovers a success story.”
